ISNR Abu Dhabi organizing committee discuss preparations ahead of 2020 edition
The organizing committee of the International Exhibition for National Security & Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi), which will be held on March 17 – 19, 2020, at ADNEC, has held its first meeting in at the Ministry of Interior’s (MOI) offices in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
Chaired by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the UAE, the meeting was attended by Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al-Hosani, Director General of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority; and Mohammed Al Shamsi from the Signals Intelligence Agency; in addition to members of the organizing committee and heads of sub-committees, as well as representatives from Reed Exhibitions.
The meeting kicked off with a welcome note by Dr. Al Raisi in which he thanked the attendees and ISNR’s strategic partners for their continuous support. He also lauded the various committees’ efforts that ensured the success of the 2018 edition of ISNR, which further positioned the UAE as a leading player in the events industry internationally.
“This meeting is a vital step to continue the exhibition’s successful trajectory and ensure that it cements its position as a premier show on the global scale,” said Al Raisi.

He also stressed the significance of the 9th edition of the exhibition as it coincides with Expo 2020, adding that this event comes in line with the country’s leadership’s vision to make the UAE one of the safest and most secure countries in the world. Al Raisi wished meeting participants the best in the serving the country.
Dr. Al Raisi said: “We meet here today to discuss preparations for the International Exhibition for National Security & Resilience ‘ISNR Abu Dhabi 2020’, and review plans of action to ensure that its success is at a level comparable to those achieved by the UAE in the exhibitions industry.”
The Inspector General’s remarks were followed by a film about ISNR Abu Dhabi 2018, its achievements, and the safety and security technologies that were on display during the event, including sophisticated devices and state-of-the-art equipment.
The video was followed by a presentation by officials from Reed Exhibition, about the company’s action plan to cement ISNR’s position as a leading event in the international arena.
In addition, company official presented their strategy to attract national and international players, to showcase their latest technologies and solutions in cyber security, digital technologies, artificial intelligence and innovation.
The Shows and Events committee gave an overview of its tasks and responsibilities in relation to inauguration ceremony and preparations that precede it.
The meeting concluded with a lively discussion about best approaches to support the exhibition and ensure the quality of its outputs in different areas, namely national security, the future policing, safety and occupational health, as well as top future challenges facing all countries of the world.
